Tune in to The TV Show this Saturday at 4pm for a fascinating Q&A with Katie Piper, star of the recent Cutting Edge documentary, Katie: My Beautiful Face.

Following a 2008 acid attack that left Katie’s face badly scarred, the former model and budding TV presenter chose to share her story with Cutting Edge by making a remarkable film, documenting her journey as she attempted to get her life back on track.
This week, following an overwhelming response to the programme by Channel 4 viewers, Katie came down to The TV Show studios to answer questions from the audience and tell us about her experience making the film.
Update! A response from Katie:
I would like to say thank you to everybody who has left feedback in regards to my appearance on The TV Show.
It was the first time I have taken part in a live audience show, very different from one person and a camera, like the documentary and other interviews I have done. I was worried I would find it hard, all these unfamiliar faces looking at mine ready to question me, but that wasn’t the case – I thoroughly enjoyed it and you all made me feel at ease.
I am very touched that people have taken the time to comment on my story and interviews and if it has helped or inspired people in any way then I am absolutely thrilled!
Lots of love
Katie

I think that Katie is so unfortunate to have been hindered in her life by these lowlife filth that no punishment can repay the pain that has been caused to her. They are Spineless worms, she has grown above them and will blossom and continue to thrive as they descend into oblivion, stay strong and watch your personality, character and image shine Katie !! Patrik
you are the bravest girl Katie…I wanted to put my arms round you and give you a hug. sending love and best wishes to you for a great future. cherry x
I watched your documentary last night and was absolutely blown away by your story. You are an incredibly brave woman. I cannot imagine what an ordeal you have been through. You should be amazingly proud of how you have handled yourself and forever you will always be beautiful. Well done on being such a remarkable woman!!!
Hello Katie, I have never written on a blog before about anything i have seen on tv, but i watched your programme last night and being the same age as you and i used to be in the ‘acting’ industry i couldn’t begin to comprehend how you must have felt, and how you would even begin to deal with what happened. But you have proved that you are a strong, determined woman and you have so much more in life to look forward to! You are still very beautiful and come across as such a lovely, sweet natured girl. I’m sorry such a disgraceful, horrific attack happened to you, and i’m glad those two poor excuses for men got life imprisonment… It made me sad when you said that you hate looking at your face in the mirror because it reminded you of what happened and of them – only with time will that feeling hopefully disappear. With the help of your loving family i’m sure you will be fine again, and realise that you are beautiful inside and out. xxx
Katie you are an amazing person, you touched me in so many ways after I watched the documentary, you have a lovely personality, you are also very beautiful inside and out! Really big hugs to you! xxx
Hi Katie, I just wanted to say how incredibly intelligent, alive and interesting you seem. You have your whole life ahead of you and with the humour, confidence and itelligence that came across in your programme I know you’ll do fine. Your whole family should be proud that you’re such a wonderful young girl. Congratulations for being both beautiful and clever. Hardly anyone achieves that!
Katie,
I watched your tv programme and was shocked and horrified at the low life we have in our society. You have acted with grace and dignity and the whole nation should be proud of you. I for one couldn’t believe what I was hearing when you said it wasn’t up to you to have a “normal” life and kids etc… You are a beautiful young woman who has had a horrible time, I think you are lovely and the scars you have are superficial. You look stunning and I for one would defo ask you for a date if I met you. I wept watching your story and thought you have both a great sense of humour and personality.
I hope you are well and getting back to doing the things you love xx
Hi Katie, just to say I think you are a very pretty girl although you might not think so, your beauty is inside as well as outside and I hope you go on to have a brilliant life which I am sure you will. Dont let them ugly b#####ds who did this to you win. they will always be vile horrible cretins but you will always be a gorgeous person all around. Good luck in life sending my best wishes to you and your lovely family. xx
just to add Katie YOU GO GIRL get out and dont be scared to live you life to the full, You will have plenty of support and respect your personality is brilliant and you are still a very pretty girl, dont forget that. show them two gobs##ts youve got a life to live unlike them who will be stuck away with their measly little existances while you get on with yours.I know you feel you look bad but honestly you dont I’m sure there are plenty of lads out there who think your hot.
I would like to say katie you are an influence. You are still beautiful and you have such a loving open personality. Those dogs who done this to you may think they have stopped you from being happy and stopped you from being beautiful but trust me they have failed. You are still a stunning young lady and althought it will take time for your confidence to fully come back i want you to remember you are in control of your life not them. Trust me katie its better if they stay in jail because im sure alot of people out there that have heard your story would like to seek revenge on them two men and i hope they get all thats coming to them. I would love to meet you and sit down and give you a big hug because you are genuinly someone special xxxx
