I for one am pleased that the Big Brother live feed has been axed and I applaud Channel 4 for finally making this decision.
The quality of the live feed was poor. For example, you could barely hear what was going on most of the time Plus there really is no need to watch 24/7 when all the best stuff is broadcast in one hour the next day. Those complaining about producers being able to bias their editing need to realise that if they wanted to (and I'm not saying they do) it is possible to bias the live feed too by showing different camera angles, different rooms, muting the sound in order to protect their favourites.
It also totally disrupted the E4 schedule. It's great to have a 'less is more' technique this time around.
A couple of hundred forum members will not affect the popularity of the show and the Channel 4 bosses know this.

This years big brother clearly has the potential of being one of the best series so far, but without the live feed, it's just not the same!
Big brother is all about the live feed and now us, the viewers are just going to see a much more manipulated view of the housemates, than ever before.
Surely this effects the eviction process and no doubt chiefs at C4 will come under critisism soon after a popular housemate is evicted. Their letting us see what thet want us to, completely defeating the point of big brother.
I'm really dissapointed this year with no live feed, at least give us the option to opt in or out with the red button.
Please consider doing something about it. You're slowly losing most of the big brother die hard fans!

Hi,

Only a small minority of the contacts received by viewer enquiries each month relate to specific programmes.

The vast majority, and in this case the remaining 11,000 are queries about DVDs, scheduling, or other questions about Channel 4.

Quick question - in the opening paragraph you say you had "12,435 contacts", yet you only account for 1,589 as complaints/praise.

What happened to the other 11,000?

And C4 still believe there is no demand for a live feed.

Within the first couple of hours so much key action had already been missed, and a couple of one minute clips on Big Mouth and the website are in no way any kind of substitute.

Listen to your viewers C4 - they know what's best for the show, and if you had, listened before, last night's launch show wouldn't have been such a shambles and wouldn't have been pretty much universally condemned by the shows core fans.
