Is the grammatical error in the title of "How The Other Half Live" intentional or an oversight on the part of programme makers who really should know better?

I have just seen a Advertisement for POSTAL GOLD on Channel 4 on Wednesday 5th August at 5.30pm Its a Vile Vile Vile Nasty Nasty Advert To pray on the very vulnerable in this time of mass unemployment. Asking the very gullible and Naive to send their Gold through the post
This is just not good and shouldn't be on our screens at all.

How sad that Rupert Everett was chosen, or has chosen himself, to do a program on Lord Byron. A golden opportunity to make a fascinating program was lost by his unpleasant prostering. The program seemed to be more about him than Lord Byron.

I recently viewed Lee Evans: Big: At the O2 Arena, and I couldn't help noticing the fact that Channel 4 had reduced the length of the show from 155 minutes, to 65 minutes. Why? You made us miss 60% of the show. What is your explaination for all this? If you're going to reduce the length of the shows by more than half, then don't bother transmitting it; that's what I say. Put programs on at full length please, not reduced drastically.

When are we going to see some new episodes of Come Dine With Me? All the programmes showing now, have been repeated about 3 times. It is a very popular show with many of my family and friends, but is getting very boring watching constant repeats.

Sorry but I dont agree, I just think there was something very, very wrong with the programme, I have never seen anything more patronising in my life, those poor little girls could in the future, work a million hours a week and will never, ever get to the standards that the family featured have. I think it s quite disgusting that these programmes can be made, let alone shown.

What a little snob that child was, showing off to the poor family with what she had, her clothes would probably cost enough to feed that family for a year!

That family will now be so disillusioned with their life after seeing what they are missing in life.

As a social worker I think the whole series should be scrapped, its diabolical.

I really enjoyed 'How the Other Half Live'. The people involved were such kind, sensitive, lovely people. It made a change to see good living folk, and warm-hearted family life on tv. I am in a similar position to the 'poorer' family, single mum working on tax credits, and i would say that it is the area they live in which is the biggest barrier to a happy and fulfilled life. Possessions mean nothing compared to safety. Myself and my children (teens) watched this first programme and we all said we would live in a tent in our area rather than the spacious flat the family had in london. The best thing anyone in a position to help can do is give the family the deposit and a van to move out to a better area. We live in North Wales where it is safe and lots of free beaches, woods, and countryside. We are poor but happy! A great programme non the less...well done!
