This month’s edition of The TV Show – 4.10pm, Saturday October 4 – looks set to be a lively 30 minutes of studio discussion. Not only will we be featuring a debate on The Sex Education Show, we’ll also be hosting an exclusive question and answer session with The Family.

In response to the hundreds of comments Channel 4 has received about The Family (via our very own blog, through the official site and on the C4 forums) The TV Show will be dedicating the first half of the live programme to the Hughes family.
Dad Simon, mum Jane and daughter Emily are confirmed as guests for the Q&A session and will also be staying back after the show to take part in a TV Show web chat – check out The TV Show forum on Saturday to find out how you can take part.
In part two, Krishnan will be hosting a debate on The Sex Education Show. The show – in which presenter Anna Richardson aims to “tackle the nation’s sexual ignorance and reticence” – was, excluding Big Brother, Channel 4’s most complained about programme in September (mostly due its pre-watershed broadcast) but has been a huge online success with people around the country openly sharing their sexual experiences and problems with others.
Have you watched The Sex Education Show? Do you think its suitable pre-watershed viewing? Have you found the programme educational? Tune in to The TV Show this Saturday and to find out what the programme makers have to say.
As ever, if you’d like to contribute your views to Saturday’s show – either as part of our live studio audience or over the phone – please see our Take Part section for more information.

the family showed above all what is valuble to life today . predilitions of complete love it was wonderful to watch bless them all i think they were absaloutly great
The family is the most heart warming and naturally engaging programme i have watched in years. I’d be really interested to know how the family became involved in this documentary, what interested them initially and whether they are glad they have been a part of it.
The family is a fantastic piece of television. It reminds me of growing up with my family life. It touches upon some common problems families face. I love this family, the parents are fantastic, warm and loving and they and their children should be proud of what they have.
Watching the Family is like looking into the gates of hell. The house is to small, constant arguing, fighting, how can living like that be enjoyable. Im stressed watching it. I got a bat around the ear if i behaved like that as a child. Im off to get the snip !!
No wonder the kids don’t listen, the parents can’t even communicate with each other let alone sitting down a talking and listening to the children.
They have no communication skills and let the kids get away with murder just for a quiet life!
emilys fit
whats her number
Hello. I am 13 yrs old and watch your show every Wednesday. I think its a really great programme, because its showing people the original family day life. It makes people realise and wonder what arguments, accidents etc go on in a daily house. Lauren

Your entertained by this, i remember the program before tells men how to wash there p3nis, the world is coming to an end… you need to expand your mind. If a bit of discipline was in these kids lives, there would be no program, the osbournes was entertaining, why watch a program about a couple who have kids they cant afford
id like to know if the show was scripted in any way ? I love the show its real life with me commenting on it every week, great stuff !
im addicted to the program, i think the girls are just sooooo hot mum included i just need to watch it all the time!!!im in lurve
What a generous and open family. I’ve sat and cried on at least two occasions while the program makes a direct connection with me the viewer. I had to find a way of thanking this family, and the programmers, for such a brave act, to show how wonderfully ordinary and, thank god, human we all are.
hats off to this family.you are so normal but not so afraid to show it. tom- you are alovely boy. and emily- well you and your mum gave us so much to talk about. love the show
Ive been watching The Family and think its great. But what jobs do the parents have?
Great programme, lovely family. Cried at the wedding when Dad and Jessica walked to the church. Beautiful!! This is what family is all about, even though you fight you still love each other. Thank you the Hughes family for letting us share in a part of your life.
Heavy Heavy programme!!!! Watching the Hughes family was the highlight of my wednesday evenings. I know that must sound sad but when i watched the first episode i absolutley loved every bit of it, & could wait for next weeks definetly hats off to them for letting us into their lives and showing us that even going through all the ups & downs in their everyday family life no matter what theres always love. I must admit i got abit teary eyed watching some scenes but then laughed alot too especially when it came to Tom hes very comical.
