A word from the viewers’ editor

Welcome to The TV Show. My job, as the viewers’ editor, is to ensure your voice is heard, loud and clear, by the people at Channel 4 who matter and, when you voice your disapproval, make sure we react quickly. It doesn’t matter how you make you point – either by using this website or through the official Channel 4 complaints procedure Viewer Enquiries – your opinions will be heard.

I’ll be using The TV Show blog on a regular basis to report back to you on the big issues you’ve raised. And, if an issue warrants a personal response, whether that’s by the programme maker, the commissioning editor, even Andy Duncan the Channel 4 chief executive, we’ll make sure they appear either live on The TV Show or online here to answer your concerns.

So, if you’ve got something to say about a Channel 4 programme, this is the place to get it off your chest. As you might expect, our commissioning editors are pretty passionate about the programmes they’re involved in, so expect some heated discussions. They may not always agree with you, but they certainly won’t be ignoring you.

Why do programme producers insist on providing loud ‘background’ music which in fact becomes the ‘foreground’ music and prevents the viewer from hearing what the actor/presenter is saying? This is very irritating and all our friends agree.
