[...] Bogota is cloudy, but it was clear coming here from the Atlantic. 11 hours from Europe. We wouldn’t have wanted a Hudson river job in the middle of that! (See my news on that) [...]
Our reporter at the scene records an interview with distressed family and friends some of who report having received calls from birds that were in the air at the time. They allege that a giant a war machine was flying through civilian airspace.
There have been many protests at the enlargement of the landing area which, local residents claim is taking their land without compensation and, worse, blighting what is said had hitherto been wonderful lives lived in safety and with ample supplies in the areas now denied them.
One protestor – Pink Legged Goose – who gets very irritated by references to his being a too timid in his politics – told us that whilst” they still hoped for the best it has always been feared that an accident of this type was inevitable and that planning and environmental regulations were being ridden over roughshod by vested interests”.
An international traveller – a Canada Goose – told us that there was real fear in the migrating community: “We have known for a while that humans were spreading in our airways and some of us are fearful now of flying, its worse than I recall”.
They occupy our lands and dominate our airspace taking no account of areas where children play and go to school. It all got worse after an epidemic of venereal disease due to Candida albicans in geese in Israel caused a change in migration and living patterns.
Breaking news – “I can report that there has been an accident and there are casualties but there is good news also – in an act of incredible bravery the gander of a Grey Legged goose family gathered his nest and manoeuvred them out of danger before flying directly into the maw of the beast. This news comes to us from the distraught gander who modestly describes her success in landing the whole family safely on the roof of a nearby investment bank was nothing more than doing her job.
She apologised that one of her brood apparently shat on the head of a banker claiming that it was an accident caused by fear and stress and was not an expression of opinion.
