Off on my hols

I’m away now effectively for the next four weeks until 1 September. If I get stirred whilst I am on the beach I will be blogging. But unless it is very stirred, it won’t be very much.
I hope you will stay with my colleagues elsewhere on this site and come back to me for what promises to be a stimulating autumn. If you are getting a break yourselves, have a wonderful and refreshing time.

Enjoy, Jon!
Hope you have a wonderful time and don’t feel the urge to look at a screen instead of scenery and sunsets. Barring a major catastrophe (other than the current accepted ones ie: our government, our wars, our finances etc) just chill
Jon, none of your colleagues could ever stir us quite like you do. Happy Holidays!
I think they want a pay rise, Jon
Jon, you bet we’ll be waiting your return. There’s lots of work ahead and, we need you feeding us your great blogs!
Thank you for all the work you put into bringing us these and, please continue to because they are really appreciated.
Enjoy your time off, relax, chill out, switch off from work and, love life, friends & family. Take care.
Have a great break. I have just returned from my hols during which I started reading your book Shooting History – it’s a must read as your style of writing is most engaging!
Just about to buy my copy of Shooting History, from the excellent Abe Books website.

Wishing you a relaxing holiday Jon.
Thank you for the blog postings, which have included some interesting and thought provoking subjects.
I will definitely be back in the autumn and have thoroughly enjoyed my first session.
Also wishing a good holiday to all my fellow snow bloggers out there.
Enjoy the trip Jon. Happy silly season!
I don’t think Jon’s on holiday at all. I saw him in a TV advert pricing items in a convenience store…
Hi Jon Out There,
Your ability to address the ‘global conscience’ and also, for example the removal of the ‘bendy bus’ .. regards to Boris…is inspiring…….Peter
I agree Peter….
Enjoy your holidays, Jon Snow….
Hope you’ll also blog if you’re shaken whilst on the beach, not just stirred….
But have a nice time. It is a well earned break.
Don’t forget to pack your Speedos hun!
Fun fact: did you know that the US and UK are still occupying Iraq and Afganistan? If you watched the mainstream news, you might have forgotten.
Enjoy Jon ..I hope the world won’t get crazy during your holiday, we really need a break from the bad news!!
Enjoy the sun

Have a good time and come back refreshed. You, and your co-workers at Chan 4, are the best of the best. Not biased and giving the news straight. As an American, I appreciate the lack of bias.
I do hope you return soon and continue to question with gusto. I was quite saddened to see Channel Four at Noon with Samira this afternoon. Her questioning of the Scottish Premier didn’t seem to make sense: on the one hand she kept insisting that the Libyan who has been convicted of the Pam Am bombing is a convicted criminal, and on the other she kept pushing fthe questioning for an inquiry! If someone has already been tried and convicted what is the need to have an inquiry? Did the West not get the justice they were seeking? The Scottish unlike many in the West appreciate that the conviction is probably unsafe. Due to pressure from the West Libya provided a willing victim. The Scottish have shown a level of compassion which the US can only learn from. Also, she failed to provide a balanced argument and touch on the point of the “home coming” given to the 3 American women (1 Iraqi and 2 Koreans) who were convicted of crimes outside of the US. Basically the US wants for the rest of the world to living according to its justice but are unwilling to accept the judicial decisions of other countries. Why were these convicted women taken back to the US and paraded around as heroines?? with Bill Clinton in tow!
Samaira needs to really sharpen her questioning if she is to move on from being the “junior” reporter on C4 News. She has a lot to learn from you. I do miss your news coverage as it is always on a level footing and your questioning is well considered.
Mr. Snow,
I was wondering where you were, now i realise that you are on holidays. come back soon! channel 4 news has lost its charm!
Welcome back!
Jon, we hope you have had a good break and found some colorful socks!
