It’s being reported that Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi has been, or is to be, freed from prison. Ms Saberi was arrested in Iran in January, apparently for buying wine, and later sentenced to eight years in prison for espionage.
Our international editor, Lindsey Hilsum, has blogged on the case several times, including her conversations with Roxana’s father, Reza Saberi, with Roxana’s friends, and most recently on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s interjection in the case.
We’re following developments today and are likely to feature a report on tonight’s show at 7pm.

It is indeed a small piece of good news and credit to Lindsey for highlighting the case.
