Stephen Lawrence suspect is on the run from police

One of the suspected Stephen Lawrence killers is on the run concerning an alleged conspiracy to supply 100 kg of cannabis.

Jamie Acourt’s accused of being part of a gang which was earning millions from supplying class B drugs.

Six appeared in court today where it emerged that police were still looking for Acourt.

He was 16 when it’s alleged he was one of a group of racist thugs who stabbed Stephen Lawrence to death near a bus stop in South East London in 1993.

He and his brother Neil were arrested but never charged.

Two others Gary Dobson and David Norris were convicted of murder in 2012 following advances in DNA technology and a change in the law on double jeopardy.

Today magistrates in Wimbledon remanded six men in custody including Neil Stuart, aged 40, and his father-in-law 62 year old Jack Vose.

The court was told extensive police surveillance of regular van trips between Newcastle and London over the past two years uncovered the alleged conspiracy to supply an estimated £4million worth of drugs.
