Clouds, thunderstorms, sunsets and rainbows: your pictures

The arrival of Hurricane Bertha’s remnants at the weekend brought a big change in our weather compared to what we’ve been used to this summer.

Following weeks of sunshine and warmth, heavy rain, gales and localised flooding caused disruption in some places – a stark reminder of just how varied our weather can be.

However, the change in weather has provided an array of amazing pictures that have been sent to me on Twitter during the past few days.

From menacing storm clouds to colourful sunsets, the weather really has put on a fantastic display, so I thought I’d pull together a selection of images for you to see.
