The Mini-MeetMarket is a project pitching and steering session, and a great opportunity for new and emerging documentary filmmakers to meet industry mentors, at the Sheffield DocFest.

The aim is simply to help you get feedback on your documentary idea. Whatever stage you are at with it, you will get a response on how you pitched it as well as pointers on how it needs developing, where to go next, and how to improve your chances of getting funding.
Mentors confirmed include:
Andy Glynne, Executive Producer, Mosaic Films
Lucy Baxter, Executive Producer, Mandrake Films
Edi Smokum, Documentary Consultant and Head of the Short Course Unit, NFTS
Alex Cooke, Producer, Renegade Pictures
Sandra Whipham, Executive Producer (formerly Deputy Commissioning Editor, More4)
It’s running during the morning of Friday 7th November 2008, and Sheffield DocFest delegates and DFG Newcomer’s Day passholders are welcome to apply, and interactive and cross platform ideas are also welcome. You’ll need to submit a short proposal (250 words max) with a brief biography and full contact details to kerry@dfgdocs.com by 5pm on Monday 13th October 2008.
