Who needs a coronation to party in the streets? An estimated two million Brits took to the streets on Sunday to celebrate the big lunch; the biggest collection of street parties across the country since the golden jubilee.
People threw up hand-knitted bunting in Banbury while grannies line-danced through the Cornish streets. One road in Peckham livened up its lunch with ornately carved watermelons and a generous garden owner in Coventry let the local kids plant veg on his front lawn.
Not only did people get to party with their neighbours while their kids played in the street but whole communities were brought together to scoff and sample each others homemade food.
Well done all you street party people. Let us know your tales from the lunch…
