New Come Dine With Me

Come Dine With Me is back with a new daytime series packed full of hilarious hosting and unfathomable food. Watch it weekdays at 5:30pm on Channel 4

The first chefs testing their metal are from West London where each hopes their capital cooking will help them get their hands on the culinary crown.

Gardener Greg is first in the kitchen, but there’s no tough talking as he modestly calls himself Mr Mediocre. He’s planning on serving a five dish starter, however, so his cooking and his timing better be up to scratch.

Day two sees former model, Hugo, step up to the plate. He’s keeping it simple yet stylish with a starter of foie gras – but things soon get heated when Greg brings up ethics.

Sabrina cooks up a Persian feast on day three but tempers are still flaring between Hugo and Greg. PR Princess Amii fails to make the peace with her boozy dinner on day four, though she does manage to get most of them drunk.

It’s down to food writer, Thoby, to seal the deal on the final day. Can his prowess for making tarts land him the hard fought cash?

Watch it weekdays at 5:30pm on Channel 4

    Keep it coming

I think Hugo and Amii are the most horrible, stuck up rude people that have ever been on come dine with me.

They should be embarrassed by the way they have acted, especially towards Sabrina.

    Greg and Sabrina are fantastic!

    Love it!

Thumbs up Mandy, I totally totally agree with you, he’s a real bloke, no airs and graces and very normal, I love him to bits and would go out for dinner or have him cook me dinner anyday – if you get to read this Greg You’re one fab guy!! Mwah.. xxxx

Once again Hugo and Amii demonstrate what awful sneering snobs they are. Clearly their “privileged” background has taught them nothing about good manners, kindness or humility. What a waste of an education. If I was their parents I would be very ashamed

Who does Ammi think she is talking about Sabrina in that way. She is the ugliest person i have ever had the misfortune to watch on this show, or ever met in my life. Manners and personality are worth far more than looks. And whoever told her she is gook looking is obviously as bad as her. Look at yourself and think long and hard, you have an ugly personality.

The whole point of the show is conflict and entertainment. The general public love having stuff to whinge about / people to hate. It’s all created especially for you to lap it up. Enjoy.

As much as I enjoy watching Come dine with me programme, I am also appalled over the crudeness of most participants. Many are extremely rude, nasty, self-obsessed, critical without any substance and cruel. They do not hesitate to backstab each other and I am worried whether this is a growing characteristic among the British nation. Is it? I was just watching the new one of west London and my God, how simplistic were they.

Genius. It takes some gall to troll television as offensively as Amii / Hugo did and get away with it without people realizing it’s a sham. I don’t which is funnier, watching the show or reading all the posts about how much everyone hates them.

Greg was hilarious! and quite gorgeous even though soo grumpy (i thought garderners were meant to be super chilled out?)
they all wer really pretentious about food except for him but thats wat being a foodie is all about greg!
loved sabrina! all heart, passionate cooking and good on her for winning!

yea i think she was deliberately being a bit eccentric to be entertaining and to get on the show. anything to get media time/trying to get into a media career or whatever.

If that last comment was off the Amii on the show, you are the general public, and what you did was not entertaining in the least. The whole point of the show is to dine at other peoples homes and treat them with respect, not a word you would know.

Hugo and ‘Amii’ revelled in being offensive, and if that comment above is actually from Amii as claimed, then it’s quite stupid.

Of course the programme is all the more entertaining due to the conflict, but that doesn’t change the fact that she and Hugo were the most aggressive, obnoxious, stupid, ignorant, cretinous, unpleasant characters I’ve seen on TV (and I include fictional characters in that).

Greg made a great ‘Everyman’ character – even the Dalai Llama would have been tempted to slap them at some point during the week.

    Hello all

I saw the programme with Greg – excellent throughout, though not when he told the journalist guy to ’shut up’ – that besides, he was great. As for the other two, simply very immature. As an Eton and Oxbridge educated guy myself – which I do not think Hugo is – I and my classmates from Christchurch would have relished demolishing them intellectually; an easy task.

There is simply no call for the behaviour they displayed – bring back my student days and we would simply have thrown Hugo and Amii in the duckpond!

What PR agency does Amii work in? I wonder what her boss and colleagues thought of her behaviour – she has brought the PR agency into disrepute – she should be sacked.

I live in Australia & I used to enjoy watching Come Dine with Me in the old format where you had 5 strangers competing in a 30 minute episode (1 per day). It always give me a laugh every day, especially when Dave Lamb give a ’sarcastic response’ to the current host’s process throughout the program. It also kept me in suspense on what will happen tomorrow & I had to wait for the next day to come up.

However, the new format has become rude, dull &, to be blunt, annoying. It no longer has that ’spark’. I don’t mind the time limit, I think an hourly show is great, but showing 4 strangers in that hour is not only boring, but too much info is revealed.

Sorry, but I’m just trying to be as brief as I can.
