New Beauty Spot

Gok Wan’s back – and he’s fronting more How to Look Good Naked. To celebrate the return of the naked chief, we’ve given Channel4.com a makeover and launched 4Beauty.

With the focus on real women of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles, the site is on a mission to reclaim the true meaning of beauty. As well as fashion features, make-up tips, video guides and product reviews, 4Beauty has a wellbeing section that aims to promote women’s health and body confidence – such as its campaign to stop airbrushing in advertising.

Take a look – and if you really don’t like it you can return it within 14 days. Just as long as you haven’t worn it outside…

More beauty on Channel 4, as cosmetic surgery comes under the spotlight in a brand new series. From boobed boob jobs to surgical stitch-ups, The Ugly Face of Beauty is a cautionary guide to some less than smooth operators.

The show is presented by Dr Christian Jessen, who also presents Embarrassing Bodies and Supersize vs Superskinny. But it looks like he’s met his match in model Natalie Rooney, cousin of Wayne, who’s upgrading to a double J cup. (That’s Natalie not Wayne, of course…)

A petite size 8, Natalie’s also determined to have liposuction, despite several warnings this could be dangerous. As she reasons, with almost watertight logic:

‘If it goes wrong I’ll just ask them to pump the fat back into me.’

Visit the website for case studies and operation fact files, and if you missed the opening episode you can catch it again on 4oD.

Finally, of course, beauty treatments are not the sole preserve (preserver?) of females. If any males out there need the lowdown on the latest back, sack and crack treatments, why not learn how to bend it like Beckham at our Extreme Male Beauty site? You know it makes sense…
